A lot of people are being drawn to bodybuilding to improve their health and learn better eating habits. This is, of course, in addition to getting a fantastic body. The nutrition training you go through to become a successful bodybuilder will serve you well for the rest of your life, even if your bodybuilding days come to an end. For this reason alone, bodybuilding is important to learn - as more and more people are doing each day. Nevertheless, you need to keep a few guidelines at hand so you don’t make errors that can impede your progress. Our goal in this report is to give you some recommendations so you can begin your bodybuilding experience successfully.

Your bodybuilding routine is very important, but most beginning bodybuilders don’t realize that their diet may be even more critical to their success. Actually, whether you are in the “cutting” phase - looking for lean muscle definition - or in the “bulk up” phase - putting on weight - the results you want will elude you if the specific diet for each phase isn’t followed. When you are bulking up, you follow a specific eating plan that causes your abs to not be clearly defined. When you are in the cutting phase, after bulking up, the goal is to lose the fat and reveal your abs. The way you eat during each phase is totally different. For the bulking stage, which is where you start, you definitely want to eat more calories than your metabolism needs when your body is at rest. Calorie consumption during this phase is generally 20 times what your body weight is. So, if you weigh 200 pounds, you would need to consume 4000 calories a day. That would be followed by a lower-calorie diet for your cutting phase. The bulk up phase is much easier than the cutting phase because you can eat a lot of foods. However, the food you consume must be high quality, not junk food. You can get a good diet plan from the trainer at your health club or from the internet. For this stage of your training, you will need to include more complex carbohydrates in your eating plan than during the cutting phase. Also extremely important are lean protein and a variety of vegetables and fruits. Allow yourself approximately one protein gram per day for each pound of body weight and that should give you the correct amount of protein for your needs.

Those that incorporate “cheat days” into their bodybuilding regimen will see that their gains, and cuts, will improve dramatically because of the state of their mind.

Each and every week, cheat days must be taken to ensure optimal productivity levels. If you are regularly working at cutting, and you find that your cheat day is adversely affecting your progress, only do it biweekly. Working out, especially when you are trying to lose fat, requires that the body be confused therefore these days are necessary to throw off the routine. So, go ahead and indulge in anything your heart desires, from ice cream to chocolate cake and pizza, but make sure to get back to your clean diet the next day without fail.

Make sure you change which area of your body you are training each day. Don’t work on the same body part for two consecutive days. One very important rule you must follow is this - if you train a specific muscle today, tomorrow you must let that muscle rest and repair. Don’t train the same muscle the following day. It’s ok to train daily, but keep in mind that if you exercise a certain muscle or muscle group on Tuesday, you can’t train the same muscle or muscle group on Wednesday. Schedule your workouts accordingly. To illustrate, suppose on Wednesday you spent a lot of time on the rowing machine or lat pull-down machine to work on your arms and shoulders. This is great. But, on Thursday you would want to concentrate on your legs and gluts, not your arms and shoulders. Full body workouts, with a day of rest between training sessions for muscle recovery, are becoming very popular amount bodybuilders. You can find a lot of free workout routines and explanations on YouTube.

You will certainly get back what you put in from bodybuilding so it’s definitely worth it. You’ll be on your way to creating a grand physique by following the information in this article.
