The position held by many medical assistant Wayne people requires knowledge in the healthcare field that can be expanded to procedures and tasks they had not previously performed. Usually on the job training is offered to learn such tasks as taking care of patient records, measuring vital signs, speaking directly to patients and administering medications.
This is a job that was developed in order to provide needed support for physicians in urgent care and emergency services. These are places where patients need to be seen quickly and evaluated for possible treatments as soon as possible. By having more than one person taking care of the basic essentials that need to be done at the initial outset of the visit, the patient has the opportunity to get more information than they would have previously and they can get it faster.
This position usually has on the job training because assistants have typically been in the field for some time before getting this training. They may already have the skills needed and must get the required certifications.
Many states in America today are asking that people who seek this position have some kind of certification showing that they have the education and qualifications to hold the position. The person may want to get as high of a degree as possible, especially if they are looking forward to expanding their career in healthcare even further.
Most people in this practice will work under the supervision of one or more physicians whenever they are required to perform a clinical duty delegated by a physician. Some may allow for on-the-job training in advanced procedures, allowing the assistants an opportunity to take on more responsibilities, such as taking X-rays or giving injections.
Most physicians will decide once they have worked with several assistants what kind of duties they want performed during the typical workday. They may place more distinction between what one may perform as opposed to another based on the individual strengths and weaknesses of their assistants.

The duties are not exclusively performing tasks.
